Today, many people go out with girlfriend/ boyfriend but If you are in your house, let’s learn by heart these phrasal verbs together.

💐COME UP WITH = đưa ra, phát hiện ra, khám phá
We need to come up with a solution soon.
(Chúng ta cần đưa ra giải pháp sớm.)
💐GET AWAY WITH = thoát khỏi sự trừng phạt
He robbed a bank and got away with it.
(Ông ta đã cướp nhà băng và đã thoát khỏi sự trừng phạt.)
💐GET ON TO = liên lạc với ai đó
Can you get on to the suppliers and chase up our order?
(Anh có thể liên lạc được với các nhà cung cấp và đôn đốc họ làm nhanh yêu cầu của chúng ta không?)
💐GO IN FOR = làm điều gì vì bạn thích nó
I don’t really go in for playing football.
(Tôi thực sự không thích chơi bóng đá.)

Phrasal Verbs with “call”

1. Call after
To give a child the same name as someone else, especially a family member

= be named after someone

  • We have called him Benjamin after his father.

1.1. Call at =  Visit

To call at a place is to stop at that place briefly. This expression is mainly used in association with boats and ships.

  • The ship will call at the port for a few hours.

2. Call around / Call round
To go to someone’s house to visit them

  • called around yesterday but you weren’t there.

3. Call away
To ask someone to go somewhere else

  • I am afraid the doctor was called away on an emergency earlier today, but he should be back soon.
